NEWS:
"Dear students and friends,
Greeting you all in the Great Sublime light of the Dzogchen Tawa!
Lama Yungdrung Tsultrim, passed away at his monastery on Monday the 14th April at around 1pm. His Ku-phung Me-chhod (Holistic body cremation) will take place on Friday 18th, at 9 am. The core rite perfomed will be Lonk-gye Jin-seg (One of the many Jin-seg rites). At least five qualified monks have arrived from Tritein Norbutse Monastery, Kathmandu Nepal to assist the rite.
I am suggesting to student groups in all countries to recite Dutri Su now and particularly on the coming Wednesday the 23rd at your respective locations. Unlike usual Wednesday practices, this particular Wednesday evening 23rd, Group/s should perform "DUTRI SU DRIB-JONG" rite; begin as usual with Dhechen Gyalpo, Mitak Gyud-kul, Sem-kye, Kyab-dro, Dutri su recitation as many as possible and conclude with Yeshe Walmo and Ngo-wa Monlam.
Lama Yungdrung Tsultrim was the founder of Zhu Rizhing Yungdrung Kun-drak Ling Bonpo Monastery 21 years ago in south Sikkim. The monastery is the only Bonpo Monastery in Sikkim even though, historically there have been Bonpo Monasteries or retreat centres which were either abandoned or converted to Buddhist centres. Untill this day, in every direction of Sikkim, a large number of Sikkimese (Dre-jong pas) are found to be originally believer of Yungdrung Bon. Keeping this in mind, Lama Yungdrung built the monastery. Today, we have 25 monks studying in the monastery. Each year, Lama Khemsar and his students are sending approximately £1000 to the monastery collected from individuals to support in providing food, clothing and health care etc. Out of 25 monks,a small number of the monks are chosen and are fully engaged in to Drub-dra ( 3 years retreat course) as per Lama Yungdrung's wish. There is a retreat master appointed by Yongzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche of Triten Norbutse Monastery, Kathmandu Nepal. There is a permanent head Lama, Geshe Nyima Seng-ghe at the Monastery who is appointed by His Holiness Menri Trizin Rinpoche of Menri Monastery, Dolanji.
Lama Yungdrung Tsultrim is originally from Phari in Central Tibet. He is particulary coming from the Zho-lung family of Phari. The Zho-lung province of Phari was granted as a special gift to Master Zhu Namgyal Drak-pa by the Tibetan Government for his miraculous help in succesfully building the Phari Dzong (The district Head Castle). The inhabitants of Zholung under master Zhu Namgyal Drakpa were exempted from paying tax by the then Tibetan Government. Lama Yungdrung and Zho-lung family have maintained Zho-lung province including its Zho-lung Gonpa untill 1959.
Lama Yungdrung's principal Lama (Tsawei Lama) was Ku-dhun Tenpa Lodro from whom he received Dzogchen Ngondro and Ngozhi. He was a dedicated practioner and always maintained liberal and non-sectarian approach. He is a close friend of Lama Khemsar and both the Lamas tried to maintain the Zhu Namgyal Drak-pas legacy in their respective provinces ( Phari and Dromo-Pungmo Gon).
The best way to remember the late Lama is to give support to his monastery in Sikkim."

DZOG-CHEN
(The Great Completion)
THE SUPREME TEACHING, THE SUPREME
VIEW, THE SUPREME MEDITATION AND THE SUPREME
CHARACTERISTIC!!!
TEACHINGS ON THE PHENOMENA
OF
THE
NATURE OF THE MIND!!!
The founder of the Yungdrung Bon, Teacher Tonpa
Shenrab Miwoche, has taught "Bon Theg-pa
Rim-gu" (The Nine Gradual Views of Bon).
Within the nine, the Ninth is The Supreme View,
known as Dzogchen. Dzogchen is the direct and swift path. According to its
view, unlike other paths and their respective views, Dzogchen practitioners
(Dzogchenpa) could apply one single pointedness view (Thig-li
Nyag-chik kyi Tawa) for total realization. This means that Dzogchenpa
could attain "The Great Rainbow Light Body" (Jalu
Wod-ku Chenpo) here within this life.
Such
a View is not just a concept but, historically, many Dzogchenpas,
including the 20th century Master, Sharza Tashi Gyaltsen (1855-1935), have
attained this. Its teaching is all about discovering ones own "Nature
of The Mind" (Sem-kyi Ne-luk) as the Core Meditation.
Lama Khemsar Rinpoche's A-Z Curriculum is designed and
geared towards discovering one's own Nature of The Mind! A written curriculum
is available to those who have received teachings from him.
Dzogchen
teaching sounds exciting and easy to many but one must know the difference
between the Dzogchen View and the Dzogchenpa. Dzogchen's view
(The Nature of The Mind) does not need anything to add or subtract, but for
Dzogchenpa proper practice, including purification of karma (bak-chak),
is a MUST to discover that! In the past this teaching was never taught in
public as we do today and in fact there were times where the teaching was
taught from one master to only one disciple. It is not everybody's "cup
of tea"; Dzogchenpas must take it very seriously and follow it
through!
Receiving philosophical Dzogchen teaching alone
is not enough - one has to TASTE the teaching
as per the Master's levels of instructions, based on the complete curriculum
of The Teaching!!!
In one sense it is very fortunate (good karma) and worthwhile for one to receive such teaching during this most Rare and Precious Human Birth. On the other hand, it is essential to understand the teaching, including its Tawa (view), Gompa (meditation) and Chod-pa (characteristic), properly and practice accordingly. Otherwise one may have the reverse effect of building additional ego!!!
There is always the possibility of misunderstanding or misinterpretation of the teaching. Going around and talking about teachings, including Dzogchen, is not at all the way. Practicing in an invisible way, regularly, diligently and persistently, is needed! To do this, one must have an authentic Master with whom regular contact must be maintained on various levels, including engaging in spiritual consultations with him or her.
Whilst
covering various levels of Dzogchen, including aspects of
Semdhe (mental),
Longdhe (spatial)
and Men-ngakdhe (esoteric)
instruction classes, Lama Khemsar Rinpoche will give DIRECT TIPS on practical
Dzogchen Meditation, cutting through philosophical layers!
From day one, when Lama Khemsar Rinpoche received
"The Direct Tips" from his Master, he remarked that "he
felt as if he was transferred from a slow moving passenger train to a super
sonic Jet!"
The phenomena of The Nature of The Mind is sublime !
.
Indiscriminate Prayer
Lama Khemsar Rinpoche
May all the sentient beings that are encompassed by the sky be enriched with happiness and the cause of happiness!
May all the sentient beings be parted from suffering and the causes of suffering!
May all the sentient beings never be separated from the happiness of the eternal state of consciousness!
May the minds of all sentient beings abide in the state of equipoise, in which there exists neither happiness nor unhappiness!
